Preparing for Battle...

I'm starting this "online kitchen coaching" with Sheri Rose Shepard. Today is my second day on this 30 day journey and I'm very excited to see what my results will show. Although losing weight is on my agenda, I felt that signing up for this commitment shouldn't be based on losing weight alone. It needs to be more. As I shared in a previous post HERE, I was diagnosed with an auto immune disease called Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. In reading about this disease, I've come to find out that a lot my symptoms can be repressed through healthier eating. Unfortunately, I'm not big on diets and such. I've always been naturally on the thinner side. Never really had to say no to any foods and never suffered from allergic reactions...or so I thought. After reading and investigating and talking with my rhuematologist, research as shown that with my particular disease along with many other auto immune diseases symptoms and inflammation can be brought on by allergies to particular foods. So when I heard about this Online Kitchen Coaching , I HAD TO TRY IT. Not only did receiving kitchen recipes intrigue me, but Sheri Rose Shepard also battled with an auto immune disease herself called "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome". Through God's healing along with her diet change, she has said she has been delivered from it all.
So here I am, the 2nd day and feeling good. I went to my local health food store and stocked up on a ton of grocery list items she's offered as I guide for us to follow. Right now I just finished making this recipe...

Before I have a try, I need to put them in baggies and have them on

hand. When I'm hungry I can grab a baggie and that can be my snack

rather than reach for a bag of chip or crackers.

I'm Preparing for Battle!

Just wanted to share what my other snack was today...

A yummy fresh juice.

What's in it?

1 handful of collard greens

1 handful of kale

1 cucumber

1 zucchini

1/2 of a lemon

2 carrots

1/2 of an apple

It's really good, try it and let me know what you think.

Dry Erase Board

A little something I created for the triplets playroom. I thought it would be fun to put right up on the mantle next to their new pet, "Munchie the Fish". I wanted something playful and bright to go with their playroom. It was super easy to make and I think I'll get a lot of use out of it too. I also used for the first time my We R Memory keepers Sew Easy kit. Love it and it was "sew easy" to use.
Here's a few shot.

WeScrap's January Kit "Astoria" Reveal

Hello bloggy friends. WeScrap's January Kit has been revealed and is now available for ordering.
I loved this kit. Very neutral and perfect to bring in the New Year with. I really enjoyed sitting down and having a deadline and fresh papers to scrap with.
Here's what I created with January's Kit...

"Enjoy every Moment"

Pictures from this past fall. The girls love picking flowers and

in these pictures it happened to be a lazy, autumn afternoon.

We were outside and I happened to capture them in this moment.

This was my favorite. I had these fun sticker mustaches and

the kids had a ball putting them on. Made scrapping with these

papers so much more fun.

for the banner, party hat and "celebrate".

A birthday card for my SIL "Enjoy"

These pictures are from this past Christmas. It's funny because

we take about 10 pictures every time we try for a family picture.

It's always hard to capture the trips all looking or smiling. So of course,

we bribe with treats like in this case, lollipops. Sometimes, I wish

my photoshop skills were advanced and I could take each of the triplets

best face and stick it into one picture. I'd have the best pictures wouldn't I?

But it wouldn't be real. So I decided to scrap a few pictures that I felt

were the best and put it on one scrap page. Here's what I came up with...

A simple learning lesson with candy canes. I had them color candy canes but also learning the symbolism behind the candy cane. I'm sure they didn't understand any of it but none the less it makes a great little coloring project for them. They had fun.

On the road to eating healthier...

Yes I AM! I'm starting by trying to eat cleaner. By eating cleaner, meaning eating things that are more organic without all the added preservatives that our foods are saturated in.
It all started when recently I was diagnosed with an auto immune disease called "Mixed Connective Tissue Disease". This past summer has been a hard one both emotionally and physically. However I'm on the road to getting better. Is there a cure? No as of right now. But is there a way to feel better to the point where there are hardly any symptoms? YES! I've been reading up on the internet and I even purchased a book called, "Living Well with an Auto Immune Disease".

One of the best ways to feel better is by diet! Do you know how hard it is to eat healthier and cleaner? Holy Smokes it's hard. But I have to do it right?

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

My favorite dressing right now. Only 1.5g of fat for 2 tbsp.

Ingredients are not long. :)

*Bonus* I can pronounce all the ingredients too!

My focus primarily is on myself right now. Getting in the habit of eating salads with lots of fruits and veggies. Trying to eat a diet with more color and less "white" meaning no breads, starches and sugar. My goal is to change my family's diet entirely with eating only organic, a more veggie diet and less meat and fat. This does pose some difficulty since my trips are already picky eaters. But it'll happen, I just have to persevere and keep introducing them to more and more veggies. I figure in due time they'll become accustomed to the diet.

Well gotta go, just got home from the gym (doing all low impact exercising now) and gonna make myself a salad of mixed greens, some rotisserie chix, chopped almonds and some of my favorite dressing. Yummm!

Since being diagnosed I haven't really talked about it, however now that I've come to terms with my diagnosis you'll be seeing me blogging a little more about it. I think it'll become a way of therapy for me. Being able to talk about my symptoms.

Sometimes we forget the wonderful things the Lord does and gives us. Lately I've so easily forgotten. I took this picture of the triplets a few days ago. I love this picture. It helped me remember there is much to thankful for. Along with my hubby, I have three beautiful blessings that are healthy and happy. There is much to give thanks over...wouldn't you say?

I've been going through some things lately, health wise. I'm sure down the road I'll muster the courage to share. But in the meantime I wrote this Haiku and wanted to share it with you. Please don't be alarmed not anything life threatening but none the less it's been challenging my walk a little. I came across this picture I took this past summer. One of my dearest friends asked me to do a little mini photoshoot. This is probably one of my fave pictures that I took. Last night I came across it and the phrase..."Hang in there" popped in my head. And that's when I felt the need to dig deep and do some soul searching. Felt that a Haiku would say it best and for me...it has. I need to hang in there because I know...Jeremiah 29:11 "I have a future and a Hope". No matter what my situation is! :)

I feel better getting that off my chest! *long sigh*

I've had these pictures for a few weeks now and just had the time today to post them. I loved the pictures I captured. We don't get to see our Gigi and Auntie Great a lot but this particular day they enjoyed themselves. I think both the trips and Gigi and Auntie Great.

I caught a picture of them "just sitting down" but we all knew that

It's getting cooler here in So Cal. The evenings are nice and crisp these days. A nice change from the hot weather we've had in the last month. Our schedule this past summer has been eating an early dinner to beat the heat and then have the rest of the evening to enjoy outside. We're still in that mode and not in a rush to change yet. I'm sure once it's starts getting darker earlier and a lil cooler then we'll have to play first then eat!

The last few days the trips have been really into bubbles. We have this cool bubble maker that my mom bought a while ago. I fill it with bubbles and turn it on and they have a ball.

Fishies and a leash...

I forgot to post these pictures. They're from a while back. Chris and I took the trips to the Long Beach Aquarium. It was a bittersweet outing. The kids loved the fishies BUT they did not like being hooked up to leashes. haha
Here's a few shots of them with their leashes. I know, I know...some people have "strong" opinions about leashes. I did too...before the trips. But now I look at them completely differently.

Just put the leash on...they loved having the little bear riding on their backs.

Here's our Kai!

He's a sweetie...

a lil demanding but also can be

compliant when he needs to be.

Kai loves airplanes, trucks and cars.

His favorite thing to do is drive on the freeway. So then

he can see all the diesel trucks. And he'll say, "ooooh, ooooh!"

Favorite food: grapes and raisins

Favorite animal: Fishies

Favorite thing to do: play with his cars. He'll lay on the floor with

whatever car he chooses at that particular time and watches the

wheels as he pushes the car back and forth.

Favorite song: I've got a river of life...

Kai's a tough little boy. Kind of clumsy though. He falls about

10 times a day...seriously. It's hilarious. But he rarely cries

about it, he just gets back up and keeps trudging along.

Along with his sisters, he loves to look at books and sing songs.

Just look at that face.

So darn cute!

He's not much of a talker yet. The girls are talking way

more than he is. He'll say a few words like

"mommy", "daddy", or "water". But other than

that, he's a boy of few words. I figure the reasoning

is for one he's a boy and two between us three girls

we do all the talking, so he chooses to chill and listen.

Here's our Chlola as my mom so cleverly calls her. I think it's a cute nickname. It's a cross between her name and her middle name Dolores. Lola is the short version of Dolores. Combine those together and you get "Chlola".

I think she's the tallest out of the three. Daddy's hoping for

an allstar volleyball or basketball player. (it's the coach in him)

I'm hoping for a dancer/rockette! *cheesy grin*

She's sort of the leader of the bunch. She's more assertive

and knows what she wants and when she wants it.

Loves to talk! Was the first one to really begin talking and

because she talks so much the others had no choice but to follow suit.

Chloe loves to dance with her sister, Kendra.

Favorite animal: Fishes

Favorite foods: crackers and grapes. She's my best eater all around.

Favorite song: Wheels on the bus and If you're happy and you know it.

We love to dress up (obviously). Anything she can put on

she'll enjoy and wear for a long time. Some children will put on

a hat for a few minutes and be done. Not Chloe, she'll put on

a hat and wear it the whole afternoon. I leave a lot of fun jewelry and

hats around the playroom so she can try them on and enjoy.

Chloe is also into reading books. She loves to sit with her brother

and sister and listen to a story or look at books herself.

*long sigh* My triplets are getting big.

As I type this post I'm a little misty eyed. They're only

gonna get bigger and taller. My babies aren't babies anymore.

Paper Trunk and Core'dinations...

with them.

I'm excited to share with you what I've created combining both.

This first layout, Being You, is a layout of our lil

cutie, Chloe. She loves to dress up and put things on.

May it be head bands, bows, bracelets or hats.

So, of course, I had to scrap it.

This other layout I created are pictures from last Halloween.

You remember when the trips were "Kai and the Bippity Bops" ?

I had to scrap them...finally... ok ok I'm a little behind.

Some closeups of both layouts. You can see how much fun I

had combining both paper lines together.

Thought it would be nice to give an update on each of the trips. I know some of you family members
that are in different states have been wanting an update on them. Some of these pictures you've already seen, a few are new. :)

Here's Kendra, our first born.

She's our sweet pea. A little more quiet than the others.

The compliant one...most of the time.

She loves to look at books.

She loves animals especially "Fishies".

Her favorite foods:

grapes and anything sweet.

Yep she has a sweet tooth.

She's the quiet one but can often act a little goofy

when the timing is right. She's gonna have a great sense of humor I think.

Loves to sing and her favorite song right now is..

"I've got a river of life".

The independent one!

Her favority toy: Anything she can hold in her hand and carry around.

She doesn't limit to just one item. :)

I realized I haven't shared some scrap creations in a while. Thought I'd change up the posts today. I've been really into editing pictures but I've managed to squeeze in a few digital scrap layouts here and there. I've come to the realization that I'm waaay behind on my scrapping. Digital scrapping has become my new obsession and it's much faster than regular scrapping.

Here's a few things I've created in the last few months...

A layout I created of my brother on his grad night.

I still can't believe he's graduated from High School.

Not sure if you can see but in the background on the

scoreboard they had their graduated year on there...

I thought that was so clever and had to take a pic of him

in front of it.

Belly shots. Still can't believe how big I was.

I was talking about this the other day with some

friends and I believe I gained almost 85 to 90lbs.

I'm sure 80% of it was water since I swelled up so

bad due to the preclampsia I had.

There's only 8 pictures because I delivered

the triplets at 33 weeks so that's why I don't have

all 9 pictures like most women.

Although I am bummed that I didn't take a picture of my

stomach right before going into surgery. Oh well!

Pictures from last summer! Gosh have they grown so

much since then.

Next two are of the girls at 6 months.

I love these pictures of them.

Although I don't remember the time all that well,

6 months seemed to be such a fun time of growth

for the babies. They were smiling and noises

and doing so much at that time.

There were always smiling at this stage.

Yeah, you can say I'm digging it. I enjoy taking photos, but let's face it I'm not all that good at it. However you put me down in front of my computer and throw in photoshop...HEAVEN *sing song voice*
My girlfriend Heather had just started a business "More than a Hat". I've been helping her out by taking pictures of the hats for her. It's helped encourage me to really get creative with photoshop. I've learned so much stuff and I love it.

Last night we had a Girls Night Out. We decided to hit the Mission Inn and enjoy some yummy mexican food but first not without a little photo shoot sporting some fancy hats.

Here's what we took...

early morning gardening...

Oh how we've enjoyed our summer thus far. Lazy days of playing, swimming and a little gardening too.
Chris is off for another week before Fall Football camp starts.
We have been savoring our time together. My favorite has been having a cup of coffee while the trips do a lot of playing in our newly finished backyard. It's been too hot to play in the middle of the day so we get out early while it's cool.

Which by the way I don't think I've shared the finished product of our backyard

We decided to do artificial grass. I'm not quite sure if it's because

my hubby is a football coach or because it's the best thing ever.

(as you can see the kids have been playing all over it, including our Bell)

We love it.

To add to the new landscape, we decided to do some gardening as well.

It was pretty early, like 8am when we started. Lately, it's been hot and

the best time to garden is early in the morning. As you can see the

triplescoop is still in their pj's playing their part in making a mess...

Oh I mean gardening. hee hee

Wow, time is slipping from me. It's been difficult keeping up with my blog. I've been experiencing some health issues, nothing serious! But it's required me to take a step back from things. One of them has been my blog. I think it's good though, I've been relaxing more and going to bed earlier which is one of the reasons for the health concerns. It's amazing what "good" sleep can do for your immune system. *wink*

I wanted to stop in and share a few pictures I took this weekend. We celebrated my moms birthday. Another year older but she's beautiful as ever.

Here, she's blowing out the candles. We had the box

of matches there because we couldn't seem to get the

candles to light all at once. So I'm not sure if you can

tell but my mom is only blowing out 2 candles because

the others kept blowing out on their own. Phooey!

I made the cake though! It came out delicious. I was

pretty stoked about that.

Earlier in the day we all took a dip in the pool.

It was weird weather that day. It rained in the morning

so once the clouds dispersed and rain stopped,

it was the dreaded "two H's"...Hot and Humid.

The pool was a nice oasis!

Don't you just love Chloe's glasses? She's so funny,

Auntie Bri let her wear her cool shades and she just

They weren't too happy in the pool yesterday,

so this helped lift their spirits a bit.

Kendra enjoyed "catching some air".

Kai, on the other hand,

did NOT!

Oh yes they did! Wednesday was their birthday.

They woke up to this...

I can't believe my babies turned 2. They're getting so

big and it's just making my heart beat fast

knowing that in just a little bit of time they're going to

be in high school.

We gave Kai a vacuum. It was something

he could push around, which he loves to do by the way,

so he wouldn't steal the girls strollers.

Plus he enjoys helping me push the vacuum

around when I'm vacuuming.

I really thought he would enjoy the gift

and at times he does but...

...It didn't matter, he got his little hands on one

of the strollers anyway.

We had a great morning playing with our toys and balloons. We decided last minute to give them a very small birthday party with just our family. We had my parents and Chris's parents over for a bbq along with my brothers and sis in law. Then later my extended family came over for dessert. We enjoyed yummy cupcakes and cake pops. I have so many more pictures to share. I decided that what I would do is add pictures throughout the week so as not to bombard one whole post with 50 million pictures. (Well okay not 50 million but I did take over 150 pictures).

I thought I'd share our wall of "art"

before I go and change it again.

Well I'm not going to change a lot just the layouts

in the frames. The layouts are pictures of the

Trips 1 year pictures. It's time for me to have

a little photo shoot again. This time for their

2 year pictures. I can't believe it.

This is my favorite wall in our home.

Chris and I came up with the idea. I thought it was

sweet of Chris to want me to put up the layouts

I've created. And I've always wanted to frame the

different things that the trips create over time.

So here's both of our ideas in ONE!

I can't take credit for the idea of crayons in the shadow box

frames. I took the idea from this Fab Blog.

Kendra, Chloe and Kai each colored a star this week.

I've been feeling a little nostalgic lately. The trips will be turning 2 in a couple weeks. On the 20th to be exact. I was going through my pictures and stumbled upon these pictures of Kai at 6 months. I love how Chris is kissing him and Kai's little expression. What a chunker huh?

I had a little bit of time last night and some scrap mojo which I've been lacking lately. So I took some time to catch up on my own personal scrapping. (I'm very behind as you can imagine)

I used this fun Echo Parks digital kit.

Here's a few things he's been up to lately...

1. He loves airplanes. LOVES them. Everytime he's outside and a plane passes over, he stops and points to it and says "Oooooh!".

2. He's pretty picky food wise, but he enjoys all things carbs. (Go figure, he's his momma's boy)

3. Fruit of choice: Strawberries and grapes.

4. He's giving kisses.

5. Talking a little. He says words and understands things when you ask him. We're working on breaking the language barrier. We're just a little behind but getting there. :)

6. He knows the names of a lot of animals and likes to make their sounds: Cows, dog, sheep and lion.

7. He very much enjoys playing with trucks and cars. He's content to roll them on the table, ottoman or any other flat surface.

We are.

We pulled our grass out a few months ago

and have fenced off what is now just plain dirt.

It's been a long 2 months and the trips are dying to play

"fully" in their backyard. Next week we're having

artificial grass installed. I'm so very excited.

My aunt and little cousin, Lisa, came to visit.

Even she fit in the little pool.

The girls, especially Chloe, loved having Lisa visit us.

The girls wanted to do everything that she did.

So cute.

The Graduate

It's already here?

It's come so quickly.

18 years went by in a flash and here he is, my little brother Aaron, all grown up. A week ago today, he took his last steps through the campus as a high school student. He's now a Graduate and ready for the next chapter in his life. We're so proud of him and thankful to see how much he's matured and grown into the man that God has made him to be.

Lately I've felt like I'm wearing many hats and yes this is metaphorically speaking. *wink*

Life has been busy this past month. Lots going on in a great way but I'm feeling spread just a little too thin...kwim? Although I get overwhelmed at times, I love my life and love where I'm at, at this moment.

What's my favorite hat right now? Being a Mom! I'm so blessed the Lord has entrusted us with each of my babies. They're trying me lately and I'm feeling like a referee (another hat) most of the day BUT I wouldn't change it for the world.

And speaking of hats, here's a few pictures I snapped a while ago of triplescoop trying on some of my hats (physically speaking).

I made Mother's Day gifts this year. I'm always creating layouts for other people but I never create them for my mom or mother in law. So I decided to change all that.

Mom's day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day.

Chris let me sleep in and then he and the

trips brought me breakfast in bed. How sweet is that?

Then we went to my mom's for lunch.

On the menu: chili relleno's, beans, rice, and salad.

Also my cousin made my fave: ceviche. Super yummy.

Kai's first haircut

So we wake up this morning and Chris looks at me and says, "Let's give Kai a haircut!" So I looked at him and said, "Ok!"

And so we did.

We called my brother to help us out. He's had

a lot of practice cutting Chris's and his friends hair.

Uncle Derek took over with the clippers.

We had a wonderful time. The kids did really well. If you can imagine we didn't see everything. But that's okay. We just wanted to get through the day without too many melt downs. We had a "few" well actually two to be exact. But other than that we were great! I have a few pictures I wanted to share.

A day to remember what our Savior did for us!

Thought it would be nice to show you a picture of Golgotha or place of the Skull. This was taken when Chris and I went to Israel back in 2005. Talk about a trip to remember. You can see the "skull" really good in this picture. Unfortunately the Muslims have reclaimed this area as theirs and began using it as a cemetery to bury their own. You can see them up on the top.

Here's a few more pictures I wanted to share. This Chloe wasn't feeling all that great. She got Roseola . So at this point her fevers were gone but she had the rash. She had been couped up for a few days so we bundled and let her play outside for a little. She seemed to enjoy being out in the fresh air.

These pictures were taken a few days ago. I had these old baskets in the garage for years. I brought them out and dusted them off. Who would have thought they would be a hit?

My mom picked some flowers for the girls and Kendra started putting them in her basket. It was so cute. I immediately brought out the camera. :p

Don't ask what she has in her hand...yuck!

Quickly took what was in her hand and then

she showed me what she had in her basket.

Easter will be fun this year. I'm already getting them started. I brought out some old plastic easter eggs I had left over one year and teaching them to pick them up and put them in their baskets. We'll be ready!

Grammy gave us this fun little "pet" that we love. Every time we go outside and play in the front we all "take turns" holding it. We don't have a name for it yet but we love him just the same.

Fetch Bell...

More pictures I took on that day that we were feeling better and were outside enjoying ourselves before the volcano of sickness erupted in our home.

Kai, out of the three, really enjoys bell. He likes to play fetch with her. He doesn't throw the ball far, but he gets the whole game. It's cute. Bell probably would prefer Chris or I to throw it because we throw it "just a little bit farther", but I think she doesn't mind it every now and again.
I was able to capture just a small glimpse of their playing.

Just a few more recipes that I tried out and were also a success! Yippee! I think this is 4 for 4.

Applesauce muffins

Not only did it have the obvious, healthy and yummy

applesauce, it also called for butternut squash puree

and has whole oats in it as well. Makes for a tasty snack

and also a breakfast too.

Mac n Cheese

This was very good. Both Chris and the trips loved it.

It called for butternut squash as well. And for added

health I threw in some broccoli too. Not pureed, just

mixed in and visible. And guess what they didn't pick it out

and instead ate it all! :)

As much as I'm enjoying this experiment of deceiving the kids with good healthy meals, I don't want to disregard the importance of them seeing the vegetable and understanding the importance of eating them. This week was a trial period. As I continue to make different "deceptive" meals I still want to incorporate different vegetables that are "in a reality" visible to their eye. If they don't eat them well then I won't have to worry as much that they aren't getting any nutritional value because there are some mixed right into the meal. :)

My second attempt was also a success! Yeah Baby! (saying that like Mike Myers in Austin Powers)

This particular recipe was a little messy for my taste. But hey, don't get me wrong, I don't want to sound complaintive since I didn't have to pick up any food off the floor. *wink* But none the less, I am a mommy of triplets so I need simple, quick and easy clean up. This one wasn't so much. But I do have to say they were pretty good. They were a hit and I even had left overs. Coolio!

Recipe: Rice Balls. In this one, there was sweet potato in the actual mixture. Then there is also broccoli puree on the outside coating. A double whammy. So I think all in all, this recipe is worth the mess and time. It has double the yumminess and double the health.

I'm being Deceptive...

For a while now I've been stressing about the trips picky palette. Not only are they boycotting veggies, but each of them have their own preferences of what they like to eat. For the last few months I've been racking my brain trying to make dishes that were healthy but appealing with the hopes that they would eat. I wasn't successful. So after many nights of picking foods off the floor I have finally decided to try "Deceptively Delicious" And you know...it's working! Yay!

I'm super excited. The kids are eating and more importantly eating healthy! Yesssss!

Here's a picture of my first deceptive meal... "French Toast". This one had carrot purree in it. And for added healthy and yumminess, Bananas on top! And yep my kids are bacon eaters too.

There was a gal walking around selling pictures with "Lily" the miniature horse. Of course I had to do it, couldn't turn down that cute photo opp. Unfortunately the other two didn't enjoy the photo shoot as much as I would have hoped. But Kendra, on the otherhand, loved her. She sat on her and clapped and giggled. And then after we got her down she kept trying to pet her and talk to her. It was so cute. And I think Lily even took a liking to her as well.

The Hospital Visit

Do I even call it a visit? I mean seriously, when you hear the word "visit", you think of pleasant and something you plan for or schedule, right? Well this visit wasn't so much planned. Nor was it pleasant by any means. Instead nerve racking and stressful pretty much sum it up.

To make a loooong story short. Our daughter was refusing to drink any liquids. And because she was running a high temp and had a little diahrea from the antibiotics they were taking for their sinus infection, we were fearful she was becoming dehydrated. After about 8 hours in the E.R. they decided to admit her because of the dehydration. The scrapper and photographer that I am I had to take some pictures. You bet your sweet bippy I'll be scrapping this "visit" too. Ha!

We were up and not liking what was on our arm. :(

having to put a splint on her arm because she was bending

it so much. The alarm on the iv machine kept going off.

We're home! She's doing much better. The drinking is slowly but surely getting better too. Thank you for all your prayers.

The past few weeks have been rather stressful for me. All three kiddos were sick. Chloe was the worst and after two visits to the doctor and two different prescriptions of antibiotics she's finally coming around. She was diagnosed with a sinus infection the first visit then when taken in the second time the other doctor thought she could have strep throat. But the throat culture results were negative. So my guess was, she had the flu. So unfortunately I think Kendra has now caught it. She's running a fever tonight and threw up all over herself and me. I seriously could not believe how much she threw up. Needless to say it's been quite a roller coaster over here and unfortunately the fun isn't over yet.

I myself am sick. I have this annoying cough and today I started feeling a pressure headache. Cold? Sinus infection?? Who knows. Either way I'm feeling lousy and would like to go to bed BUT with Kendra running a temp...I can't sleep.

So what do I do? I blog.

forehead area. Pretty bad huh? Ya, he got himself good that time.

Kai's first word was ball. And thats the only word

he still says. But now what he's learning to do is

associate it with it's picture. Kind of cool I think.

He and I have been working hard at this. And it

finally clicked for him. I'm still working on the girls.

Baby steps I tell ya.

I love it because in both pictures you

can see his mouth and you know he's saying it.

Totally going to make a great scrap layout :)

If you wouldn't mind, I ask you if you could please say a prayer for my family. Prayer for healing for all three babies and protection for Chris and I. That I won't get any worse and that Chris doesn't catch anything. Thank you.

I've actually been laying on the couch all day. I took a 2 1/2 hour nap too. I'm sick!

So to make myself feel better because I've been sitting down all day doing nothing, I opened up my PSE and did some digital creating. Then at least I feel a little productive right?

But my poor Chloe is pretty sick still. :( Kendra and Kai seem to be on the road to recovery. Yay! I have to say that my mom and dad are awesome. They came over and watched the kids for me while Chris and I napped since I wasn't feeling good and Chris was tired from being up all night with Chlo.

Yep, I'm still up!

And no this isn't a blog version of "Hop on Pop" either. Although I read that book to the kids quite often. :p

Chloe has another fever. So when my kids are sick and it's the evening time, I can't settle. I feel like I need to be on alert just in case she needs me. Is anyone feeling me? We woke her up and gave her some more motrin but I just want to make sure she settles peacefully. So what do I do in the meantime? I blog.

I took some pictures of the kids this week, runny noses and all. I just downloaded the "Pioneer Woman: Photoshop Actions". Have you ever been on this ladies site before? She's amazing. But what's cooler is that she provides these actions for free. Ya, pretty cool!

For the past hour I've been playing around with my newly downloaded PSE toy while glancing back at the monitor and hearing for anything...umm I don't know a cough maybe?!?! See what's the point of me staying up...you can't hear a fever right? It's peace of mind I suppose. None the less I'm awake and will definitely be paying the price tomorrow...loooong sigh.

Here's what I did so far... (at this point just humor me because it's 1:00 in the morning and I know some of you want to come over and knock some sense into me for staying up so late)

We're sick

All three of the trips. We have sinus infections and pink eye. Blah! We're finally on antibiotics and eye drops to help with the pink eye.

Hopefully we'll start to see improvements in the next few days.

A picture of Chloe on Saturday. She came down with it first and the other two followed. She's actually looking a lot better but the other two are pretty sick.

We have goop in our eyes and our noses are runny alll over the place.

On the bright side? The sun is shining bright here in So Cal. It's actually pretty warm. Hopefully when the sun starts going down I can take the trips for a swing.

This is what transpired right before bedtime. We had already eaten and been bathed. A little downtime before we hit the Z's. Some tickling and giggling.

About 90% of the time I feel overwhelmed. But it's moments like these that I thank the Lord for "such a time as this" (Esther 4:14b) I'm where I'm supposed to be right here and right now. Overwhelmed or not, Contentment must be my attitude and Joy will be my hearts desire!

Feb Recap

Pictures from February. In no particular order or sequence. Just random pictures that I never got around to posting. :p Sorry but I didn't even take the time to edit them. I'm tired today.

But on a side note, I finally got my "kipping pullup" at Crossfit Chino Hills. I had been struggling with this exercise for some time. I was able to do two pullups but without doing the kip correctly. I finally mastered it tonight. So after many pullups I finally cranked out 6 in a row. So if you can imagine...I'm tired.

last night. I didn't want to bring out all my scrap stuff so instead I sat in my comfy bed and did some scrapping on my laptop. I had the sounds of "Friends" reruns going on in the background with my hubby laughing hysterically. {I'm telling you that show still cracks us up}

Hi everyone. Happy Weekend to you all. I posted these pictures over at Paper Trunk's Blog today and thought I would share them here on my own blog as well.

Here's just a few things I created using Paper Trunk's

Maybe baby line and Benny Alphas.

Tin mailboxes I scored at Target for $1.00!

I created a tag to place in each mailbox. I thought it would

be a great place for them to keep all the Valentine's we give

them over the years.

Kai's version because daddy didn't want him having a

"pink" mailbox LOL

Some candy bags I made. Let's be real, my hubby and

I are going to eat these. The triplets are too little to have

this kind of candy...heehee

And a simple decorated bag for the trips.

I bought just a few things to give them. Not too much.

Of course they

have waaaaay to many toys from Christmas.

No need to add to it.

Thought I'd share this layout with you. I created this gift for my aunt. It was a gift for her boss. I'm trying to make extra money here and there. This is my way of helping out but still being able to stay at home.

I loved this picture of her boss's granddaughter. Isn't she just gorgeous? It almost felt a little ridiculous adding anything else to the picture because it's such a beautiful shot. However I'm really excited with the end result. What isn't pictured is the frame that I purchased at Michael's to put the layout out in. I think it makes for a great gift.
